Technician Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) Reports
View Samples: Back

Technician Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) Reports contain statistics and information useful in monitoring STAR Scores & Follow-Up Pass Rates (FPR) for your stations and technicians. There are six reports included.

At the core of each report is a pair of smog tests; a Pass-Pass pair or a Pass-Fail pair.

Pass-Pass pairs are two smog tests where the 1st test was passed by a selected technician.
Then the very next test on the same vehicle was also passed, by any technician - during the semester that contains the selected month.

Pass-Fail pairs are two smog tests where the 1st test was passed by a selected technician.
But then the very next test on the same vehicle was was failed, by any technician - during the semester that contains the selected month.

The implication of a Pass-Fail pair is that the original passing test on a vehicle that failed later failed   - may have been a flawed or suspicious test - and an excessive number of Pass-Fail pairs may result in a poor FPR Score for the technician or the station.

There are actually six reports that are provided with this selection:

1. Vehicle Test Histories - Pass-Pass Pairs   -  for selected Tecnicians

Contains the above described Pass-Pass pairs, and a complete smog test history for each subject vehicle.

2. Vehicle Test Histories - Pass-Fail Pairs   -  for selected Tecnicians

Contains the above described Pass-Fail pairs, and a complete smog test history for each subject vehicle.

3. Vehicle Inspection Reports for Vehicles Passed by each Technician and Later Failed   -  for selected Tecnicians

Contains Vehicle Inspection Reports for all Pass-Fail pairs.

4. Technician Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) Vehicle Types Data (VLT)   -  for selected Tecnicians

Contains Follow-Up Pass Rates (FPR)  for each technician and for the State of California. The data is based on common vehicle types from BAR’s Vehicle Lookup Table (VLT). Average Rates and VLT Weighted Rates are provided. The report contains a count of each VLT tested by the technician, compared to a count of the same VLTs tested in the entire state. The count of passing and failing tests are also provided for the technician, compared to the passing and failing tests for the state.
Also provided is an exhaustive list of each corresponding vehicle and associated testing statistics.

5. Technician Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) Vehicle Types Data (VLT HEP)   -  for selected Tecnicians

Similar to the report described above, but the Weighted Rates are also weighted by Directed Vehicles (HEP).

6. Technician Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) Comparisons   -  for selected Stations

Contains the Follow-Up Pass Rate (FPR) for all tecnicians reporting at selected Stations, and supporting statistics, compared to state statics for tests performed on similar vehicle types from BAR's Vehicle Lookup Table (VLT).
